VMLL # 9 : 5 Uncommon Valentine Marketing Ideas

|

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away. If you want to use the occasion/holiday to market your vegan product, don’t restrict yourself to only romance related messages. Re-framing the message in alternate ways might help you stand out. Here are 3 less common planks to build your Valentine marketing on.Β

3 less commonly used Valentine marketing planks:

1. Celebrate your love….for animals πŸ–πŸ“πŸ¦™

Though Valentine’s Day is about celebrating romantic love, give it a vegan makeover. Show how your products will help people celebrate their love for animals. Since your products are vegan, by using them, people automatically end up being kinder to animals.Β

Idea 1: This Valentine’s Day, show your love for rabbits by buying our non-animal tested, cruelty-free, vegan Skincare range. We will be donating 5% from every purchase to PETA/ animal rescue NGOs.Β

Idea 2: Buy 1 Save 1 offer: For every vegan product we sell on 14th February, we will save 1 animal from the slaughter house via our NGO partner. Also, all our products are cruelty-free and vegan. What better way to show your love for animals this Valentine’s Day?

2. Celebrate your love… for the environment 🌍

This is another vegan variation to the previous marketing angle. This is more applicable for vegan food brands because there is a direct correlation between eating meat and CO2 emissions from livestock. (about 15% of global greenhouse emissions result from livestock farming β€” almost on par with those produced by the transport sector) .Β

Idea 1: It’s not too late: Instead of running a Valentine marketing campaign on 14th February, try running a ‘Not too late’ campaign on 15th February. The message being, ‘While it may be too late to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it is not too late to show the environment your love”. Try our vegan product at X% off only for today.Β

Idea 2: Green Date: To celebrate our love for the environment, we are hosting a tree plantation drive from 15th-22nd February. Everyone who purchases our vegan product on Valentine’s Day, can reserve a free slot for a ‘green date’. Come plant trees with someone you love.

3. Show your vegan partner some love (discount offer or promo) πŸ‘©πŸ»β€β€οΈβ€πŸ‘¨πŸ»

Not every couple is made equal. Enough couples have one partner who is vegan and the other who isn’t. Let’s call them mixed couples. So what if you created a targeted Valentine marketing campaign speaking to mixed couples? The campaign can encourage them to show their love to their vegan partner through your vegan goodies.

Idea 1: Love is as love DOES: Buy our vegan product for your vegan Valentine. Get a free/ exclusive masterclass on how to personalize it. E.g. special Valentine’s day recipe session or masterclass showing ways to personalize vegan handbag for your vegan partner.Β  Β

Question to think about : πŸ’‘Β

Love is as love does. You are making vegan products thereby showing your love for animals, planet and health. To stand out from other vegan brands, can you take this up a notch by transforming every purchase into a memorable celebration of this love, 365 days a year?
